Hubballi Police Investigate Alleged Kidnapping of SSLC Student
Hubballi, EXPRESS News: On Wednesday morning, an SSLC student from St. Paul School was allegedly kidnapped by a group of teenagers, according to sources.
The student, identified as Sharanu Teji, is the son of social activist Siddu Teji. Sharanu’s father reported that a gang of four teens, believed to be in their early twenties, forcefully took his son to a lake near Silver Town. However, they later left him near the lake and fled the scene. Siddu Teji mentioned that Sharanu’s friend informed the family about the incident, prompting them to immediately notify the police.
Siddu Teji expressed uncertainty about the identities of the assailants, suggesting that they may have fled out of fear following the involvement of law enforcement.
In contrast, the police have provided a different account, stating that the boy had quarreled with some known individuals over a sum of Rs 200. It remains unclear whether he was taken from school or if he left on his own. The police indicated that a case would be registered if the parents decide to pursue the matter further.
